Matt had never worked with these two other rangers before. It was a little out of his comfort zone. But solely keeping himself around Annalise and Josh would never improve his chances of moving up or getting better. Had to expand his network! So here he was, with two strangers. The main reason he took this up because of his home being Fortree and his family lived here.

Having slipped into a more street style uniform. In fact, he was kind of copying someone he knew .Hey, if Isaac Merlo can get away with these terrible (stylish) outfits, so he can he to use it to his advantage to sneak up on some poachers and bet some faces in. Poachers always made his skin crawl.

"If I had to take a guess, they're going to take the ground route, and not in the trees. There's almost no foot traffic down there at night due to the bug types coming out to take over the trees, and the few predator pokemon that roam, but they tend to leave people alone."

At his feet was his Riolu,Dagger, and his his absol, Ace. What better pokemon to use to catch some bad guys?

VALOR - Prevent

This was something that he was eager for. Ollie always looked for an excuse to beat up on some Rocket pieces of trash, and this gave it to him. Finally! Behind him was his main battler in Dragonite, backed up by Bravary and Inteleon. He also had Rockruff to pursue, as well as Weepinbell for mass sleep attacks. Joltik for crowd control with Discharge, he had a good team he felt. Oliver didn't just wear his normal ranger uniform though, he also kept a collapsable baton and taser on him. And handcuffs. The five foot seven red and black haired man nodded at paxton concordas. It was simple. For now. No plan survives contact with the enemy. But a plan is better than nothing. Plus hitting fast and hard should make things much easier...and hitting things fast and hard was sort of a specialty of his.

Matt Vice thought that they would most likely be using a ground route due to the local wildlife. Bugs usually weren't on the agenda for poaching. Besides, going by air, while having its advantages, also makes you lose some control, and can't exactly hide real well. Especially if you know you were being followed or was trying to keep an eye out for patrols. He agreed with Matt on that. So he stayed silent. Oliver literally didn't have anything else to add. He gave them his Pokemon's information. At least the team he planned to use and their roles. The bad boy looking man didn't hear any objections far as he was aware.

And so, he pointed the most likely location. Deep in the forest, but still having enough of a clearing to make such a deal possible. They just need to know where to best hide their Pokemon. Joltik would be easy, as would Weepinbell. Ollie's other four...not so much. Well, Rockruff can likely stay by him. Bravary wouldn't be spared a glance due to it's flying type. Dragonite and Inteleon would be the real problems. "How many of our Pokemon do you want out? Only one of my main battlers wouldn't be out of place. The other two would be..."

He nodded at the feedback, leaning over the map before straightning up to look at each Ranger as the spoke in turn. Taking their information into account he crossed his arms thinking through their options. "If there's no foot traffic, would it be advisable for us to use the ground route? Just to speed up travel before we set up in the trees?" he asked before turning to nod over at Ollie.

He looked over at his pokemon while also thinking of his own and then looking at Matt. "I was thinking of doing out main set up in the trees and wait to drop." he explained wit ha shrug. "I say have as many ready as possible just...it might be risky to set up on the ground." He hummed, thinking it over. "My partner levitates, and I have other pokemon with similar abilities. If its the three of us we should have more than enough at least for the initial surprise. After...go wild I guess." Far be it for him to stop the two from going all out.

Matt listened, trying to not go into this too hot headed- yes he was excited to be getting an actual mission to take out some assholes, but he still was on a job. "It will be faster on the ground, yeah. We could also set up of our other pokemon within a radius, so they can catch any that manage to get away?" He knew Nana would shred a poacher apart... maybe not her. Maybe.

"But anyway, yes, the ground. It's a direct route through the town without having to deal with people and buildings. There's a section where the local kids use as a 'fort' that we could take up the handle of as a cover. It's actually a small treehouse built by some parents as kind of a improv playground, I guess. Good place to cover."

Looking over to Ollie, he offered a awkward wave. Trying to be at least sorta friendly... or at least seem friendly. He hoped. God he was bad at this.

There was a location, and the ground seemed like the best way to go. Matt Vice tried to seem friendly, but was still very awkward. Eh, maybe some drinks later will solve that. Right now though, it was business. paxton concordas gave more sound advice. Nodding, Oliver then covered the chance of someone escaping. "I got Rockruff to track them down if they do happen to escape. And once we're sure everyone is there, Joltik can start setting up webs to catch people trying to retreat. I also have Weepinbell to use Sleep Powder as well. Hopefully that should get most of them. Bravary wouldn't be uncommon to the area...I'll keep the other two with me though." And Inteleon and Dragonite knew their roles here anyways.

And both knew how to make quick decisions upon exiting a Pokeball. If they knew when the transaction was to take place and all...well, it was best to get out there then, wouldn't it? "Well, if we're positive about the location and the time where this is to go down...shall we?" The mostly red head looked at both of his cohorts.

Paxton nodded at the pair of them before gesturing for the rangers to lead the way. After all, this was their turf. "I think...setting up some pokemon to act as a net should any escape is good." he began, quietly looking over to Matt before turning back to Ollie. "That sounds good too. Most of my pokemon are more adept at taking down targets, fire power, or scouting. So your team does well to cover the trap set ups."

As they moved in closer he looked up at the little play area. "Alright, I'll focus my numbers on the ones that can levitate." he announced. He let out his partner, Joules, a shiny Magnezone that let out two beeps, eyes looking over at Paxton curiously as the man lifted a finger to his lips. "These are our comrades. We're setting up a trap ok? Stay vigilant up in the trees with Altan and Chandra." he said as he let out both Solrock and Lunatone to assist.

He then looked back at the pair of rnagers. "Just in case it gets a little squirrely here, how confident are you two in hand to hand?"
